Rhilea Cotton placed 9th in her first state track meet.  She completed a highly successful freshman season, setting a personal best height at 5'4" and placing 11th at the State Indoor Track meet.   Khaylen Cotton cleared 6'8" to set a new personal best and place 2nd in the state in Division II.  The junior also placed 6th in the State Indoor Track meet during the winter season.The girls 4x200 finished the year as state qualifiers by placing 3rd in the Regional meet.  The team included Khaila Whatley, Offrandi Mutapay, Lila Taylor, Kaliyah Warner, and Christian Wharton.

Fairfield, Ohio — January 20, 2026The Northwest girls bowling team secured a road victory Tuesday night, defeating Princeton 1880–1712 at Gilmore Lanes with a balanced team effort across the lineup.Alisah Kennedy led Northwest with a strong performance, rolling games of 179 and 191 to finish with a team-high 370 series and a 185.0 average. Her consistency at the top of the order helped Northwest build an early advantage that it maintained throughout the match.Sharae Slaughter added a 263 series, while Morgan Hill followed with a 259 series highlighted by a 166 in her second game. Ta’Nyla Jones contributed 237 pins over two games, and Sophia Norman rounded out the scoring with a 224 series as Northwest relied on steady production from every bowler.Northwest’s depth proved decisive, as the team outpaced Princeton in total pinfall to earn the victory.With the win, Northwest continues to build momentum as the season progresses, while Princeton will look to bounce back in its next match.

Fairfield, Ohio — January 20, 2026The Northwest boys bowling team earned a convincing victory over Princeton on Tuesday at Gilmore Lanes, rolling to a 2329–1968 win behind strong individual performances across the lineup.Carson Singleton led the way for Northwest, posting games of 254 and 185 to finish with a match-high 439 series and a 219.5 average. Singleton’s opening game set the tone early, giving Northwest immediate momentum.Caleb Elliott followed with a consistent showing, knocking down 394 pins over two games, including a 224 in his second game for a 197.0 average. Levi Engleman contributed a solid 361 series, highlighted by a 205 in game one, while Dylan Frey rounded out the scoring with a 330 series.Northwest’s balanced effort proved too much for Princeton, as the Knights maintained steady scoring throughout the match to secure the road win.With the victory, Northwest continues to build momentum as the season moves forward, while Princeton will look to rebound in its next out

 Cincinnati — January 23, 2026Northwest delivered a dominant performance Friday night, defeating Purcell Marian 84–51 behind a balanced offensive attack and stifling defense.The visitors set the tone early, racing out to a 28–11 lead after the first quarter and never looking back. Northwest maintained steady pressure throughout the game, outscoring Purcell Marian in every quarter to secure the convincing win .Christian Craig led all scorers with a game-high 32 points, shooting an efficient 10-for-14 from the field and an impressive 10-for-13 from beyond the arc. His perimeter shooting fueled Northwest’s offense and stretched the Purcell Marian defense from the opening minutes .Jadyn Hairston and Isaiah Stroud each added 12 points for Northwest.
